Star8 Terms and Conditions

1.1 By checking the ""Agree"" box and accessing the website, or by opening an account or placing a bet with STAR8, the Customer is considered to have read, comprehended, and accepted these terms and conditions. Through this agreement and/or continued use of the Website, the Customer is bound by these terms and conditions, along with the incorporated rules, regulations, and privacy policy. In case of any inconsistency between these terms and any referenced document, these terms will always take precedence.

1.2 STAR8 retains the exclusive right to amend, update, and modify the terms and conditions, rules, regulations, and privacy policy as deemed necessary, without prior notice to the Customer. However, significant changes will be notified to the Customer through prominent notices on the Website.

1.3 You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to check for any such amendments, updates, and modifications. Your continued use of the Website signifies your unconditional acceptance of these terms and any changes made to them. Bets received before the effective time of the amendment will be subject to the existing terms and regulations.

1.4 These terms, rules, regulations, and privacy policy are presented in English. In case of any translation into another language, the English version will prevail over any translation.

2.1 By accepting these terms and conditions, the Customer affirms being of legal age, which is 18 or the legal age of majority as determined by the applicable laws of their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. The Customer also asserts having the mental capacity to accept responsibility for their actions and adhere to these terms and conditions. STAR8 retains the right to void any transactions involving minors.

2.2 Customers intending to place bets with STAR8 should be aware of potential legal restrictions in their country, place of residence, or where the bets are made from, regarding online betting or gaming (collectively, ""gambling""). Specifically, you confirm and agree, as a condition of using the services:

a. You are not within a jurisdiction that prohibits gambling;
b. You are not a citizen of a nation that prohibits its citizens from gambling, regardless of your current location;

2.3 Furthermore, the Customer agrees, accepts, and unequivocally represents to STAR8, without limitation:

a. It is solely the Customer's responsibility to ensure compliance with local or national laws before registering or placing bets with STAR8. Seeking legal advice before engaging with STAR8 is encouraged to verify that such activities comply with relevant laws. STAR8 is not liable for any breach of local or national laws by the Customer; and,
b. The Customer acknowledges that STAR8 operates legally and is licensed to provide its services from the jurisdiction or country specified herein. STAR8 ensures it operates from a jurisdiction where it is legally permissible, licensed, and regulated, and makes efforts not to conduct business with or accept Customers from Prohibited Jurisdictions.

2.4 Without limiting clauses 2.2 and 2.3, legal entities (including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities) may not use any services or products offered by STAR8. Hence, the Customer asserts, without reservation:

a. They are not residing, physically located, or incorporated within, nor do they have any business presence or target markets in Prohibited Jurisdictions; and
b. They will not place bets from any of the Prohibited Jurisdictions.

2.5 The Customer acknowledges that their use of STAR8 entails inherent risks, and understands that through the utilization of the Website and/or the services provided by STAR8, they may incur losses on bets placed. The Customer assumes full responsibility for any such losses.

2.6 The Customer warrants that they will not engage in any attempts to attack, hack, make unauthorized alterations to, or introduce malicious code to the Website. Specifically, the Customer will refrain from: (a) reverse engineering or decompiling any software available through the Website; (b) making copies, modifying, reproducing, transmitting, altering, using, or distributing any part of the Website or its contents; (c) disclosing account information to any third party; (d) violating any provisions stated herein, including but not limited to Clause 6 below; or (e) engaging in any deceptive practices to defraud STAR8 through the use or abuse of its services or the Website. When STAR8 suspects the Customer of violating these terms, STAR8 reserves the right, in addition to any other remedies, to freeze or suspend the Customer's account to conduct further investigations. Confirmation of the Customer's violation of these terms will result in termination of services, closure of the Customer's account, and forfeiture of any amounts in the Customer's account by STAR8.

2.7 The Customer will promptly inform STAR8 of any discrepancies in payments received by or paid to STAR8, as well as any errors in the Customer's account information held by STAR8, as soon as they become aware.

3.1 Customers are permitted to deposit funds with STAR8 solely through the pre-approved payment methods available on the Website. Customers must utilize the same Authorized Payment Solutions authorized by STAR8 for both depositing and withdrawing funds, unless directly depositing funds with STAR8. Authorized Payment Solutions are not authorized to represent themselves as able to receive funds on behalf of STAR8 without prior written confirmation from us. Additionally, Authorized Payment Solutions are prohibited from marketing, advertising, publicizing, or promoting the Company or its Services in any manner without prior written consent from STAR8.

3.2 To utilize STAR8’s betting services, Customers must register on the Website and create an account, thereby becoming a Registered Customer.

3.3 Upon registration, Customers agree to provide all necessary Personal Information to STAR8. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that their Personal Information, including address, telephone number, and payment/bank details (if applicable), are kept accurate and up-to-date on the Website. Customers must provide truthful information during the account opening process. Failure to do so will result in a violation of these terms and conditions, leading to immediate closure of the account and forfeiture of any funds available in the account.

3.4 Upon request by STAR8, the Customer agrees to provide any documentation necessary to verify the Personal Information provided. The Customer authorizes STAR8 to utilize any lawful means it deems necessary to verify the Personal Information provided by the Customer, as outlined in the online enrolment form (""Personal Information""). This includes all requisite information determined by the STAR8, at its sole discretion and at any time, to properly identify the Customer. Upon submission and acceptance of the online enrolment form by STAR8, the Customer will be considered a Registered Customer. STAR8 reserves the right to accept or reject Customers for any reason. Only Registered Customers are permitted to use STAR8’s services and place bets up to their specified bet limit or available monetary amount in their accounts.

3.5 Upon becoming a Registered Customer, the Customer will receive a username and password (""Account Access Information"") intended for their personal use only. It is the Customer's duty to always maintain the confidentiality of their Account Access Information. The Customer is fully accountable for any misuse or unauthorized disclosure of their Account Access Information to third parties. If the Customers suspect their Account Access Information has been compromised or accessed by a third party, they must promptly notify STAR8. Upon notification, STAR8 may provide the Customer with new Account Access Information to ensure security.

3.6 Bets or requests made online using the correct Account Access Information will be deemed valid.

Customers are urged to promptly inform STAR8 if they suspect their account information is being misused by a third party, enabling STAR8 to suspend the account. STAR8 will not be held responsible for any reasonable delay in suspending the account. Only after the Customer notifies STAR8 of compromised Account Access Information and the Company suspends the account will bets or requests made online with that information be considered void. Customers can report such incidents using the contact information available in the ""Contact Us"" section of the Website.

3.7 STAR8 may periodically require the Customer to change their password or Account Access Information, or may suspend the Customer's account if there is suspicion of a security breach or misuse of the Website. STAR8 reserves the right to change the Customer's Account Access Information at its sole discretion, with prior notice to the Customer.

3.8 To uphold a high level of security and safeguard Customer funds, the Company may conduct random security checks. Customers acknowledge that the Company has the right to request additional information and/or documentation from them to verify their identity during such security checks.

3.9 Customers are advised to review their account balance each time they log in to the Website. If any discrepancies are noted, it is the Customer's responsibility to promptly notify the Company and provide their transaction records since the last verified balance. Failure to report discrepancies within thirty (30) calendar days from the end of the respective month will result in forfeiture of any claims regarding the account balance. Customers can report discrepancies using the contact information provided in the ""Contact Us"" section of the Website.

3.10 STAR8 reserves the right to close or suspend a Customer's account, refund or withhold the account balance at its reasonable discretion, without further explanation. However, any outstanding bets placed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be honored.

3.11 Customers may withdraw funds from their account once their balance has been confirmed by the Company, following the posted withdrawal guidelines on the Website.

3.12 Customers may cancel their account at any time by providing written notice to the Company through the contact information available on the Website. Upon notification of account cancellation by the Company, any subsequent bets or requests made online with the account will be void. The Customer remains liable for any activity conducted until receipt of the account cancellation notification from the Company.

3.13 Customers are responsible for maintaining their account activity. Failure to log in and utilize the Company's services at least once within a twelve (12) month period may result in the Company closing the Customer's account, with any outstanding balance forfeited.

3.14 STAR8 reserves the right to immediately suspend or cancel a Customer's account if the Customer breaches any obligations under these terms and conditions. In the event of a material breach determined by STAR8, STAR8 reserves all rights and remedies against the Customer under these terms and conditions and at law, including retaining any outstanding funds as a guarantee of the Customer's obligations or liability arising from the breach.

4.1 The Company will exclusively accept bets from Registered Customers via the Website.

4.2 A bet is considered placed when made online by the Customer via the Website, originating from the jurisdiction of the Internet Protocol Address recorded by the Company. It is deemed accepted only when acknowledged by the Company's gaming server in the jurisdiction where located, and recorded as such. The Customer will be notified through the Website upon acceptance and recording of the bet by the Company. A bet is considered completed upon acceptance and recording by the Company's gaming server, with notification provided to the Customer, all in accordance with these terms and conditions.

4.3 Upon successful placement of a bet on the Website, the Customer will receive an electronic acknowledgement (notice), confirming acceptance and recording of the bet by the Company.

4.4 A bet will be declared void if not transmitted in full, including instances where transmission is disrupted or interrupted due to technical issues.

4.5 Customers are prohibited from canceling or altering their bets once placed, accepted, and recorded by the Company. The Company holds no obligation to cancel bets validly placed, accepted, and recorded in accordance with these terms and conditions. If a Customer attempts to cancel a bet before confirmation, they should verify the bet list (accessible in the user menu bar of the Website) to ensure the bet was not placed. Any dispute regarding the placement of a bet should be reported to the Company before final acceptance of the bet and/or before the occurrence of the event the bet was placed on.

The Company will investigate such disputes thoroughly and resolve them in a fair and reasonable manner, exercising its sole discretion.

4.6 All electronic transactions will be documented by the Company for the benefit of both Customers and the Company. In cases where disputes cannot be resolved by the Company's management, the relevant recordings will serve as evidence. Both the Customer and the Company acknowledge that these recordings will be the final authority in resolving disputes, ensuring accuracy and fairness as a final resort.

4.7 The Company retains the right to suspend or prohibit further betting in a market at any time, without prior notice to the Customer, at its sole and absolute discretion. If a market is suspended or access to it is prohibited, any attempted bets made by the Customer will be declined.

4.8 Furthermore, the Company reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and without explanation to the Customer, to refuse any bet or part thereof, or to suspend or close an account at any time, for any reason. This includes situations where the Company reasonably believes that continued use of the account could result in damage or loss to the Customer or the Company. This may also occur during investigations of breaches of terms and conditions, rules and regulations, or the privacy policy, upon confirmation of such breaches, or in response to a filed complaint by the Customer.

4.9 The Company shall not be held responsible for any failures in equipment or telecommunication that impede the correct placement, acceptance, recording, or notification of bets.

4.10 The Company shall not, under any circumstances, be held liable for any damages or losses, without limitation, that are alleged to have resulted from or been caused by the Website or its content. This includes, but is not limited to, delays or interruptions in operation or transmission, failure of communication lines, misuse of the Website or its content by any person, or errors or omissions in the content thereof.

4.11 Bets will be accepted until the advertised deadline for any given event (""deadline""), which is deemed to be incorporated by reference into these terms and conditions and agreed upon by the Customer. If a bet is mistakenly accepted after its deadline, it will be considered void, and the Company reserves the right to void any such bet.

4.12 Bets placed by the Customer using a credit or debit card do not become valid until the Company (or its Authorized Payment Solutions) has received full payment before the Customer commences any betting, subject to Clause 4.2 above. If payment is not received before the Customer begins betting, any such bets placed with the Company by the Customer will be automatically void.

4.13 Customers must maintain a positive funds balance exceeding the amount of the intended bet in their accounts to be eligible to place bets. Bets will not be permitted if the account balance is insufficient.

4.14 While all prices/lines displayed on the Website are subject to change, they become fixed once a bet is placed, accepted, and recorded in accordance with Clause 4.2. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without explanation, to alter the odds, prices, or any information related to a bet type, market, or event at any time, without prior notice to the Customer. Additionally, the Company may void or reject affected bets or correct any errors in displayed odds, prices, or information resulting from error, omission, or mistake.

In such instances, the Company will provide a prominent notice on the Website.

4.15 The maximum bet amount that a Customer can place on any market or event may vary depending on the specific bet type and is subject to change without prior notice at the Company's sole discretion.

4.16 Live Casino

*Maximum payout of total winnings in Live Casino is limited to MYR300,000 per member.

4.17 Slot Games

Regardless of any winning amount from the Jackpot or Progressive Jackpot, the MAXIMUM pay out to The Customer is limited to MYR 300,000 only.

5.1 Upon confirmation of the final result, winnings will be credited to the Customer's account or losses reflected accordingly. The Company retains the right to determine the source of the final result as it deems reasonable and appropriate.

5.2 If funds are erroneously credited to or debited from a Customer's account, it is the Customer's responsibility to promptly notify the Company of the error. Any sums credited to the Customer due to error will be considered invalid and must be returned to the Company. The Customer may not dispose of funds credited in error, and the Company reserves the right to void any transactions (including bets) involving such funds. The Customer agrees to indemnify the Company for the return of any erroneously credited funds that have been withdrawn by the Customer.

5.3 The Company shall not be held liable for typographical, technical, or human errors in posting odds and/or handicaps. In case of an error, the Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to either void any affected bets at any time or to correct the error.

5.4 The Company shall not, under any legal theory including equity, contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, be held liable for any damages or losses, whether direct, indirect, or of any other nature, without limitation. These damages or losses are alleged to have resulted from or been caused by the Website or its content. This includes errors, inaccuracies, or ambiguities in the Website or its contents, as well as failures, malfunctions, delays, or interruptions in operation or transmission, communication line failure, misuse of the Website or its content by any person, errors or omissions in content, and damages such as loss of business, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary or consequential loss or damage. This applies even if the Customer has notified the Company of the possibility of such loss or damage.

5.5 The Company will not be held responsible for any breach of these terms and conditions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

5.6 The Company reserves the right to withdraw the Website or elements of the Website at any time. Except for any rights the Customer may have over deposited funds in its account, the Company will not be liable to the Customer in any other way as a result of such action.
